Watts prepared the design documents and performed contract administration services and construction inspection services for the replacement of 5,200 feet of waterline on Ellen Drive and Wheaton Drive in the Town of Cheektowaga. The design included the milling and resurfacing of one of the roadway lanes, boring and jacking of casing pipe below State highways, and the replacement of 150 water services. Watts administered the construction contract responding to submittals and questions and processed all of the at estimates through contract close out. During the construction inspection phase, Watts adopted an active role in oversight of the contractor especially with regard to schedule and resident coordination. This strategy helped ensure that the project stayed within budget, on time, and with minimal inconvenience to the residents.
